Role Overview
Apply your criminal law expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through accurate, practical analysis of real-world legal materials. This remote contract role focuses on translating complex criminal law concepts, arguments, and procedural issues into clear, useful input for legal AI training. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze criminal law materials, including statutes, case law, court filings, and case documents, to identify relevant insights.
- Review and edit complex legal documents for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with established standards.
- Summarize legal arguments, decisions, and procedural issues for legal AI training work.
- Explain intricate legal concepts and reasoning in concise, accessible language.
- Provide actionable feedback that supports legally accurate, real-world applicable content.
- Stay current on criminal law developments and apply new knowledge to project tasks.
- Work remotely with cross-functional teams through digital collaboration platforms to meet project milestones.
Qualifications
- JD or LLM from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
- Substantial criminal law practice experience, particularly in a BigLaw or major law firm environment.
- Demonstrated legal research, analysis, writing, and editing experience in criminal matters.
- Ability to review and synthesize large volumes of legal information with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain nuanced legal issues.
- Sound ethical judgment and a commitment to high professional standards.
- Interest or experience in legal technology and adaptability with remote digital platforms.
Work Terms
- Remote contract engagement.
Compensation
- $140 to $400 per hour.
