About this role
Help improve next-generation AI systems by applying hands-on DevOps expertise to realistic cloud infrastructure challenges. This remote contract role focuses on automation, infrastructure as code, continuous improvement, and clear technical communication. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Create realistic, production-style DevOps tasks covering CI/CD, containers, orchestration, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and incident response.
- Develop working reference solutions with clear environment setup and validation instructions.
- Review AI-generated technical output, identify failures, and provide precise, reasoned corrections.
- Maintain a high standard for correctness and reproducibility.
- Provide structured feedback that strengthens future task design and helps AI systems learn, reason, and perform more effectively.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong programming ability in Python, Go, Bash, or TypeScript. The role requires real coding capability, not scripting alone.
- Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins; Docker; Kubernetes; and at least one major cloud platform, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Advanced Linux and Git skills.
- Professional written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
- Background in security, secrets management, or platform reliability.
- Open-source contributions or technical writing experience.
- Previous work involving AI training data or model evaluation.
Work Terms
- Remote contract engagement.
- Availability of at least 20 hours per week is required.
Compensation
- $50 to $100 per hour.
