Head of Communications

In this pivotal role, you will lead the external communications strategy for a cutting-edge AI data lab, shaping the narrative around our innovative work and enhancing our visibility within the media, customer base, and broader AI ecosystem. Your strategic approach will help build trust and credibility as you oversee everything from product launches to executive thought leadership.

• Own and execute the company''s external communications and PR strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, creators, analysts, and industry influencers.
• Secure earned media across various channels including digital, print, broadcast, podcasts, and social media.
• Develop messaging for product launches, partnerships, company announcements, and executive communications.
• Position company leaders through interviews, speaking engagements, bylines, and media opportunities.
• Prepare executives with messaging, briefing materials, and media coaching.
• Manage external PR agencies and communications partners.
• Lead crisis and rapid-response communications as necessary.

• Significant experience leading communications or PR for high-growth technology companies.
• Exceptional writing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills.
• Proven success in securing top-tier media coverage and building lasting press relationships.
• Experience leading communications for product launches and major company announcements.
• Strong strategic judgment with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling narratives.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.

• Experience in AI, developer tools, enterprise software, or B2B SaaS.
• Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies.
• Experience working with distributed teams.
• Crisis communications experience.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in San Francisco.

The annual compensation for this role ranges from $250, 000 to $400, 000. All employees are eligible for equity compensation and may receive performance-based bonuses, subject to company policies.
