Software Engineer for MCP AI Training

Design reinforcement learning environments that evaluate an AI model''s ability to solve complex software engineering problems using Model Context Protocol tools. Your work will provide high-quality, real-world input that helps improve how AI systems learn, reason, and perform. No previous AI experience is required.

• Create reproducible software engineering environments involving real MCP servers.
• Develop tasks involving bug fixes, feature implementation, codebase refactoring, and performance optimization.
• Design deterministic verification methods and golden reference solutions that measure MCP tool use and software engineering capability.
• Build environments that require agents to discover, interpret, and reason over information from MCP servers.

• Proficiency in C++, Python 3, Java, Go, TypeScript, or Rust.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and performance tuning.
• Demonstrated ability to debug complex software issues and deliver maintainable solutions.
• Experience with feature development, codebase refactoring, performance optimization, and scalable software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, close attention to detail, and success working on collaborative cross-functional teams, ideally remotely.
• Experience with large-scale distributed codebases, rigorous code reviews, and software engineering best practices is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI or machine learning systems is beneficial but not required.

• Remote independent contractor engagement.
• Approximately 15 hours per week.
• Flexible schedule, with the ability to choose your working hours and days, including weekends.
• Weekly minimum task-submission requirements apply.

• Estimated compensation range of $60 to $120 per hour.
• Payment is output-based and issued per task that meets project specifications. Completion time may vary based on experience and workflow.
