Apply your legal judgment to review and improve sample contracts and legal documents while helping advance AI systems through high-quality, real-world legal analysis. This remote contract role focuses on clear, practical document review, risk identification, and plain-language legal communication. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities- Review sample or template contracts and other legal documents for clarity, enforceability, and risk.
- Identify, analyze, and flag problematic or high-risk clauses, with detailed written commentary.
- Draft concise memos outlining findings, major risk areas, and recommended improvements for each reviewed document.
- Conduct basic legal research using public sources to support analysis and recommendations.
- Explain complex legal concepts in clear, accessible language for non-lawyer audiences.
- Follow confidentiality and conflict-of-interest protocols while working only with public or synthetic data.
- Juris Doctor degree and active or lapsed bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- At least 4 years of legal practice experience, particularly in document-intensive work such as contracts, compliance, or transactions.
- Demonstrated strength in contract drafting, contract review, and legal risk assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain legal concepts to varied audiences.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach to legal analysis.
- A strong commitment to confidentiality and careful conflict-of-interest management.
- Experience with, or interest in, technology, AI, or legal operations is a plus.
- Remote independent contractor engagement.
- $80 to $180 per hour.
